MoKan Championships 2025
Here is some general information on Championships.
Please remember that this is a longer meet than usual, as it involves all teams in the league. Bring plenty to do (and snack on) while you aren’t swimming. Do not leave Championships until checking out with a coach. Be on time and ready to go when you arrive.
NOVICE CHAMPIONSHIPS TUESDAY July 15, 2025
(For All Swimmers, 14 & Under, With Novice Times, EXCEPT PRECOMPET)
NOTE: if your swimmer never achieved a Novice time this season, they will still be entered in an event on Tuesday.
Location: Shawnee Mission School District Aquatic Center
Start Times:
7:20am: Arrive & check-in *
7:00 - 8:15am: Warm-ups
7:30 - 8:00am: Volunteer check-in
8:25am: Flag Ceremony
8:30am: Meet begins
1:30pm: Estimated End of Session
1:45pm: Awards Recognition ceremony (estimated to end at 2:15pm)
*If your swimmer does not check-in by 7:00am for the morning session they will be scratched and will be unable to swim in the Championships.
LEVEL 2 CHAMPIONSHIPS
(Qualified Swimmers with Level 2 Times & 15-18 year olds)
Location: Shawnee Mission School District Aquatic Center

6:40am: Arrive & check-in *
7:00 - 8:15am: Warm-ups
7:30 - 8:00am: Volunteer check-in
8:25am: Flag Ceremony
8:30am: Meet begins
1:30pm: Estimated End of Session
1:45pm: Awards Recognition Ceremony (estimated to end at 2:15pm)
*If your swimmer does not check-in by 7:00am for the morning session or 11:00am for the afternoon session, they will be scratched and will be unable to swim in the Championships.
Things to Bring & Remember:
- suit, towels, extra goggles, caps & sunscreen
- blanket, sleeping bag, pillow, book, games, etc.
- drinks: Water!!
- healthy snacks
- AS ALWAYS, CHECK IN and CHECK OUT WITH A COACH!
Additional Information:
- Photography: You can sign up for free to have your swimmer photographed during their events. Look for the Wesley J Richardson Photography table at the meet. No advance purchase is necessary. A link will be provided to you via email within a week to view the photos and purchase.
- Swim Quick: Swim Quick will have a booth with swim apparel and accessories at both meets.
- T-shirts/ Heat Sheets: MOKAN Championship t-shirts will be sold at both meets for $12 each. Heat sheets are $3 each. Purchases can be made with cash, credit card or check.
