see you today

Dear Team,

Woodside 2000 W 47th Pl, Westwood, KS

Please be at the pool between 5:00 and 5:15 PM. We are still looking for additional support for this week’s swim meet. Specifically, we need four more timers, two additional runners, someone to assist with the clerk duties, and one person to stay with the team.

Please note, if you are assigned as a timer this week, you should be prepared to get a bit wet. It is crucial that you watch closely at the end of each race—ensure you note the exact moment the swimmer’s hand, head, or arm touches the wall. We experienced some inconsistency last week, and we need this resolved.

Additionally, please be aware that this pool has a lot of stairs and limited seating. If you plan to watch the meet with your children or simply observe, bring your own chair, as only a few are available. Thank you for your prompt attention, and I appreciate your continued commitment.

Please note that there have been some changes. Kindly review the attached document for the updated information.

About Us

MoKan Swim League

We are a strong parent run swim league that includes a mix of swim teams from City Parks and Recreation departments, a golf and country club, and health and tennis club.

During the months of June and July each year, weekly dual swim meets are hosted, for 5 weeks. Tuesday night meets for kids age 10 and under and Thursday night meets for kids 11-18 years of age.

We offer multi-level time achievement milestones to recognize each swimmers progress during the season (Novice, Level II and A times).

Culminating the season, we host a championship meet where all teams compete for ribbons, trophies and “bragging rights” over a two day period. (Timed Finals)

USA swimming (1) rules and regulations apply, however the league is not registered or sanctioned by USA Swimming. We secure separate insurance coverage similar to the insurance coverage provided by USA Swimming.

WHY CHOOSE US: The MOKAN Swim League believes USA Swimming rules provide the best summer swimming development program for swimmers of all ages. Swim meets include sprint, distance, individual and relay events. Swimmers may participate in up to 5 events (3 individual and 2 relays) per meet.

(1) USA Swimming is the national governing body for swimming in the United States. USA Swimming is an affiliated member of Federation Internationale de Natation Amateur (FINA), the international federation for aquatics. USA Swimming is a member of the national governing body (NGB) of the United States Olympic Committee (USOC), and organizes competitions and leagues to develop swimmers up to and including the Olympic trials.
